Just 2.5 hours from Pittsburgh and 3.5 from Philly, it's the perfect spot when you want an adventure without the long drive. @Tory | Hike PA & beyond! πŸ“ We spent the day on the water with Raystown Leisure Boating, where Randy (a certified leisure guide) made sure all we had to do was relax and have fun. From tubing and cruising to simply soaking up the sunshine, he makes it easy to relax. And the best part? He doesn't stop when summer ends, his fall boat rides give you front-row seats to the most incredible leaf peeping along the lake's shoreline. This activity was hosted, but we genuinely had the best time. 10/10 🏠 Our home base was a cozy 2-bedroom cabin at Greene Hills Resort & Campground, right on the Little Juniata River. Hot tub, sauna, and riverside views? Yes, please! Bonus: we could go tubing straight from the campground. *cabins are only dog friendly up to 35 lbs β˜•οΈ Every single time I'm in Huntingdon I stop for coffee from Downtown Joe's. I'm always impressed by the fun seasonal drink options and the ease of just using the drive thru if I'm not ready to people yet πŸ¦€ We wrapped up the day with dinner at Bluegill Bar & Grille. We went all in on the crab theme and ordered the crab dip, crab dip burger, and crab Mac n cheese... throw in some yummy mocktails and it was the perfect end to a perfect trip. βœ… If you're looking for one last summer escape, Raystown Lake checks all the boxes: adventure, relaxation, and small-town charm.
